June was a whirlwind of a month! there are certain things I wait for all year. The poppy fields that spring up all through Spokane and Spokane Valley are one of them! During the short time the poppies are blooming I contact my special clients that I know are up for last minute session. They trust my somewhat impulsive nature. So I drove by the location and saw that the poppies were about to start blooming and I immediately thought of Becca and Josie. I have been photographing these ladies since literally the day Josie was born (which seems like just yesterday!!!). One of the things I love about clients I have a long time relationship with is that I start to know their personalities and I can see their sessions completed before we even start shooting. Becca truly has an infectious smile. She is vibrant, cheerful and positive. So there couldn't have been a better place for the Mommy Daughter session she has been wanting to do with her daughter.
My long time obsession with flowers is a constant inspiration for me. The more flowers I am surrounded by the happier I become. Ten years ago when I arrived in Spokane I was torn between two career paths. I do have a degree in floral design but ultimately I choose photography because it is what I have always done and I love it more and more with every year that passes. But My love for flowers has a strong influence on my work. In the upcoming years I plan on incorporating flowers into my work more and more.
Thank you Becca for choosing Kim Stadler Photography. It seems like just yesterday we were doing your maternity portraits in the mustard seed fields!
If you have made it this far make sure to follow me on Instagram! It is a mash up of my business and personal life... and lots of cat pictures!!!
