I have a lot I can say about this session...Other than having such a great time with Nicole and her adorable little girl who rocks the perfect amount of sass and spunk! I was able to create images that were very much for me and the artist side of me that needs a little love sometimes!
I have been operating Kim Stadler Photography for about a decade here in Spokane. And this Spring was as unpredictable as any other. Nicole was coming from a few hours away for her maternity session. We woke up to rain. And not just rain, but pouring rain. Of course this rain was no where in the forcast. The rain finally subsided in the mid afternoon. We thought we would be working with an overcast sky. But once again, in the true nature of Spokane we had the bright hot sun come out. We started our session with less than ideal light. However sometimes it is the challenges that push me and inspire me. So with the not so ideal (yet glorious) light and a stunning mother and child we went for it. Embracing the gorgeous Lilacs from our Lilac City, surviving the ticks and dodging a creep that wanted to hang out with us....lets just say it was a laugh filled experience I don't think any of us will forget!
From here on out I will be carrying my Doterra Bug Spray, I will have my Buff Partner in Crime along with me to keep the weirdos away, and I will let myself do things I love like light prisms (yes, those are in camera real!). The rainbows make me happy. And who doesn't want to be happy?!
Last but not least, Thank you Nicole for choosing Kim Stadler Photography for your Maternity Portraits. I hope you cherish them always!
